When to Add the Advanced Repair Protocol

By Dr Alison Jamieson

Abstract

The Advanced Repair Protocol layers onto a routine you already have. Who it's for, what's in it, and how it fits without restarting anything.

Most of Aliangé's eight protocols exist to solve a concern. The Advanced Repair Protocol is different. It doesn't correct pigment, calm redness, or manage oil. It's a regenerative layer, prescribed on top of a protocol that's already working, for skin that needs more capacity than a foundational routine can give it.

That distinction matters, because it changes when you'd reach for it and how you'd use it.

Two Products, One Job Each

The Advanced Repair Protocol has two steps, applied morning and night, after serums and before moisturiser:

  • Rejuvenating Eye & Lip Cream — targets the periorbital area, the first place visible ageing shows. Beautifeye (Albizia Julibrissin Bark + Darutoside) works structurally: in clinical testing it's associated with reductions in orbital droop, fold height and crow's feet, alongside increased collagen and elastin synthesis. Liftonin-Xpress, which contains pullulan, works differently: it forms an instant film that tightens on contact. One acts over weeks. The other acts on application.
  • CellRevive Exosome Cream — a whole-face regenerative layer built on Endexome-EXO™, an exosome active derived from human iPSC (induced pluripotent stem cell) technology. Each application delivers approximately 4 billion lyophilised exosomes alongside more than 50 cosmetic bioactives, assessed in a controlled, double-blinded Australian study in women aged 25 to 60, with reported improvements in the appearance of elasticity, texture and tone.

Neither product replaces a serum. Both are designed to sit on top of one.

A Layer, Not a Starting Point

Every other protocol in the Aliangé system is built to stand alone: Essential for a first-time user, Mature Skin for firmness and tone, Acne for congestion. The Advanced Repair Protocol isn't built that way. It assumes a cleanser, a serum step and SPF are already in place, and adds regenerative support on top.

That's a deliberate formulation decision, not a marketing one. Skin that's already being maintained responds to an additional regenerative signal differently than skin with no foundation underneath it. Layering the Advanced Repair Protocol onto an empty routine skips the barrier and defence work the rest of the system exists to do first.

Who Actually Needs It

The Advanced Repair Protocol is indicated for three situations, not for general use:

Advanced regeneration. Skin that's plateaued on an existing protocol, showing diminishing returns from the actives already in use, and needs a mechanism beyond exfoliation or peptide correction.

Post-procedure support. Skin recovering from an in-clinic treatment, where barrier repair and cellular signalling matter more than active correction.

Targeted enhancement. The eye and lip area specifically, which ages faster than the rest of the face and often needs support before the rest of the skin does.

It isn't indicated for someone starting out, someone without an existing serum step, or someone chasing faster results from a protocol they haven't given time to work.

No Ramp-Up, No Photosensitivity

Most active ingredients in the Aliangé range come with an introduction period. Retinol and AHAs need a build-up phase and a next-morning SPF discipline, because they raise photosensitivity while the skin adjusts. Beautifeye, pullulan and the exosome-based CellRevive formula don't work that way. They carry no photosensitivity risk and no adjustment period, so they layer directly onto an existing AM and PM protocol from the first application.

That's part of why this protocol is described as an add-on rather than a replacement. It's designed to be introduced without disrupting whatever tolerance-building is already underway elsewhere in the routine.

How to Add It Without Restarting Anything

Keep your existing cleanser, serum and SPF steps exactly as they are. Apply Rejuvenating Eye & Lip Cream to the eye and lip area, and CellRevive Exosome Cream to the rest of the face, after serums and before your moisturiser, morning and night. Nothing else in the protocol changes.

The Advanced Repair Protocol, Rejuvenating Eye & Lip Cream and CellRevive Exosome Cream sold as singles total $625; bundled, $562.50.

Common Questions

Can I use the Advanced Repair Protocol on its own, without another protocol underneath it?
It's formulated to layer onto an existing routine, not to replace one. Pair it with at least a cleanser, SPF and one treatment serum for the regenerative layer to have a foundation to work with.

Will adding it disrupt the actives I'm already using, like retinol or AHAs?
No. Neither Rejuvenating Eye & Lip Cream nor CellRevive Exosome Cream carries photosensitivity risk or needs an introduction period, so they don't interact with the ramp-up schedule of other actives in your protocol.

How is this different from just buying CellRevive Exosome Cream on its own?
You can, but the Advanced Repair Protocol prescribes it alongside Rejuvenating Eye & Lip Cream because the two address different structures (the periorbital area specifically, and the whole face generally) as one coordinated regenerative step, rather than one isolated product decision. For a closer look at how CellRevive compares to other exosome technology on the market, see Ultraceuticals ExoSignal GF² vs the Aliangé Advanced Repair Protocol.

The Advanced Repair Protocol is prescribed by Dr Alison Jamieson as a layer on top of an existing protocol, not a substitute for one. Speak with your treating clinician if you're recovering from an in-clinic procedure before introducing any new active.
