I am a doctor interested in a career in Aesthetic Medicine. What steps do you recommend for someone who would like to work in your footsteps.
It’s a wonderful career and there are lots of pathways –if you want to go straight into aesthetic medicine I would consider contacting one of the organisations like CPCA or ACCS for training programmes. Otherwise do your post grad training as you wish first either in general practice or dermatology or plastics though it attracts lots of other specialities like anaethetists and radiologists. The supply companies like Allergan and Merz have good training pathways too and until now wonderful conferences to attend ! perhaps look at the Allergan medical institute website—I can connect you with a rep in your stae if you can tell me where you live.
